Anybody who has ever ran a marathon (or even THOUGHT about running one!) knows the feeling of sore muscles. The throbbing pain caused by a difficult workout can leave you crippled for days on end. Fortunately, receiving a therapeutic massage is a very simple solution to help loosed up your muscles in a jiffy.
This past month, I was actually running in a marathon out in Orem. The day of the race, every spa I called was completely booked up for the weekend. I know, I know, my fault for not planning ahead. Anyways, I decided to make the short drive a few miles south. I found a Provo massage center that was able to squeeze me in with only an hours notice. My lucky day!
Once I arrived for my treatment, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the Salon was doing a special for free hot stone upgrades. I really enjoyed how the Provo massage therapist really worked my muscles deeply. The stones were able to help her get into the fibers and work out the kinks and knots that were stuck in there after my run.
Anyways, I feel like I’m starting to ramble on for a bit. What can I say, I won the race so I am super excited about that! My whole family came out to cheer and support me, which really helped make me feel like I was able to accomplish something great. If you ever get hte chance to run in a race like I did, please consider massage therapy afterwards because I’m sure it will help you as much as it has helped me!
